How to Install libsane software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

libsane software package provides API library for scanners, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libsane

libsane is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libsane package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsane *

You will get with libsane package name, version, architecture and description in a table
